Are you playing or not

No, but two meters apart is currently the ruling, as far as I'm aware.
That was the expected scenario when bookings were first made available pending relaxing of the lockdown rules.
I'm awaiting an email from the club to ratify the new rulings since yesterday's statement.
That'll arrive while I'm at work, I'll update later.
Not unless things change this morning
Its currently solo or with a member of the same household only.
Could change when the details come out.....

Two people from different households will be able to meet in a park if they stay two metres apart

BBC are running with the above, so solo or household golf may not be just the case yet. Devil will be in the detailed guidance.

Not quite sure how that fits in with the sports minster recommending tennis & basketball, as you handled the same ball.

I have played golf on my own before, love the sport and the fact it is really a game against yourself and the results are so random.

I'm not going to rush down there on Wednesday, but I have Friday off so I might see if I can get a round in at my place. As long as this gale force wind has buggered off by then.

I would happily be out this evening on my own but Big Arlene has other plans.

If we have to wait another 3 weeks so be it.

Friday afternoon will be my first chance to get out so if the weather is okay I will be playing 9 holes after work then, assuming what we expect happens. I will be following that up with another 9 on Saturday (y). I don't have a need to go straight back into 18 so 9 will do me nicely.

I'm lucky in that my golf playing son is home right now but I would do 9 on my own anyway if he was not.

Still waiting to hear from the course. I would be more than happy if they would open the practice field. I'm happy as a clam hitting balls to my cones.....

Probably not. Not really interested in solo golf.

Interesting that you could work with someone all day in an enclosed space, but not play golf with them in the outdoors. But, if that is the guidance, so be it. I suppose they need to pick and choose which lockdown measures to ease gradually, rather than have blanket advice for every activity, to avoid that dreaded second peak.

While I would be happy to play on Wednesday I'm prepared to wait and see just in case it gets chaotic. Complete guessing game as to how it may initially unfold. Luckily, I only live four minutes away so not much time wasted if I can't get on.

More than happy to play on my own until we can socialise again. I can see problems occuring when a household of four go out together and then a whole bunch of singles behind, do they keep letting singles through every 10 minutes? It could take them ages to get round and still be backing up the rest. There have been posts about 2 tee starts and only 9 holes whilst there is a big initial demand. Perhaps one tee is dedicated to singles and another to groups?

No thanks, expensive walk in the park solo golf. done enough solo golf in the past and it's not for me any longer. glad you guys can get out and it's the right decision to make it solo.

I answered no. I'm no rush to play. I've got plenty of DIY to be getting on with at home for now. Oh, and work, I'm back working from home today and no longer on furlough pay.

If courses are restricted to single players or same household 2balls then I would be surprised if ranges open any time soon.
And yet driving ranges with their bays would be a natural self distancing environment. A few signs, navigation rules and some hand gel would be all that's needed as the balls go through a washer when collected.

Ours are having solid partitions between bays, detergent added to ball washing and hand sanitisers by the ball machine.
