PING G30 range launched

hi all

PING's new G30 range has officialy been launched!

I saw the product a few months ago and it was a real wow moment with the driver and its 'turbulators' - they look good in the flesh and science makes sense

Funnily enough turbulators, as much as they sound like a golf R&D term, have actually been around for a long time, most commonly on aeroplane wings.

Not that interested in the Turbulators; if they give Bubba an extra 2mph what are they giving me, a half?! What I am interested in is a new Ping driver, nothing has tempted me away from my G15 but perhaps it's worth a look at. When every new release promises "further and more accurate" I'm guessing incrementally I wouldn't see much difference, but by skipping a couple of generations I might see some benefit....

I wouldn't care if they put an F1 rear wing on it if it gave me a few more yards! *writes memo to contact R&D guys about rear wings*

No white alas, but having seen the blue/black scheme in person I can say it's one of my faves on the market atm.

I 'think' I like it, will have a look at it in person before I make my mind up. I've been thinking of springing for the G25 (missing link in my bag) for a wee while now but might compare the two first.

I have to LOL, i just had an email from a popular online golf shop, pre order the G30 range now! on sale with 5% off RRP already! why bother with an RRP?

£289 for the driver seems fairly priced, £199 for FW and £169 for hybrids.. 5-SW with steel irons are £589.

£169 for the Hybrid!!! Its basically just the G25!!! Hopefully get the 4 replacement in the G25 cheap now and maybe even a 3 wood.
