Pardew

agree dodger 4 games seems right to me.
was a mans game when I grew up now its just who can fall and roll the best lol
Yes in the 70s it was a mans game but how many times did you see Shankly ,Busby, Robson head but a player can you imagine Pardew butting Norman Hunter / Tommy Smith he would not need a touchline ban he would need an ambulance. Maybe these technical areas need removing and they can all have bad seats like Wenger who never sees anything.

I have seen it and Mylar did not do anything Pardew was in his line of run that's all a total accident. The reaction from Pardew was a disgrace if that was a fan like you or me you would be in court for assault and banned from every ground in the country . He has previous and I don't think he will get away with it this time .Mind you the FA do have a poor record of fudging things like this and Pardew might get a medal off them for hurt feelings . How can he tell his players to behave when he has the worst dissaplinary record in the squad. He should be sacked and banned for a long time. £100,000 fine is buttons to people who earn the sums these people earn the only way to punish multi millionaires is to ban them. The worst thing is they were winning and god knows what he would do if they were losing.

Over react much?

cc98 there has been a huge over reaction to a very silly incident.
pardews previous includes swearing at fellow managers how many do the same and dont get caught?
ill give u the push on the linesman as that was idiotic but I dont think he meant anything other than to garner his attention.
raheem sterling actually shoved howard webb a couple weeks back and got a stern look! next time u watch man u look at how many times wayne rooney cusses at the officials in an aggressive manor, yet this is not mentioned and in my opinion far worse as kids watching want to copy the players, not managers.
steve bruce handled this best, when he said it was heat of the moment he apologised we accepted and moved on.

The 'outrage' seems to me to be rather confected and merely symptomatic of a game that takes itself too seriously and spends much of it's timeup it's own fundament. The incident - well - more than a little bit silly and childish to be honest. But any more than that? Were any animals harmed in the making of it - no.

The press got to write about something , the floods are drying out , MP`s are not fixing their expenses , no big sex sandals , KP is history , England cricket team is still losing and the two main events are abroad , one SA and the other is the Russians are moving in so Pardew is big news

Wouldnt be at all surprised if Mike Ashley is having a long chat with the company lawyers to see if this is gross misconduct and gives him a cheap exit route from the ludicrous 7 year contact he gave Pardew

There was a comment on one of the sports radio programmes yesterday that the only reason he got that length of contract was because he owed Ashley money and that was how he was paying him off. Don't know how true it is, but that's what was said.

If that was a shove by Sterling then you need to watch it again he touched him about as much as your average pickpocket would.
