The time appears to have come to replace my Adidas bag after it has started to fall apart slightly.
I have my eye on either of the Ogio Ozone or Grom bags (both similar in design but one with 8 way and the other 14 respectively).
Not seen or heard of many using Ogio and understand they are a bag only brand.

Had anyone any experience of them and the quality?

Just replaced my 2004 grom, already missing it. Fantastic bags, dividers work well and the ball silo is a stupidly simple thing but it is a feature I missed straight away.
Only got rid of it as one of the zips was failing and I fancied a new one (mate still using and loving it).

2004? So good quality then? I like the look of the Ozone, never even noticed the ball thingy but definitely a handy looking feature.

Yeah, 2004. Got it the year before my daughter was born. Played at least once a week since then so I was happy with the quality...

Sounds like they are worth a punt then. Not really looking at the Aquatech models but interested on why the reviews were negative.
The Ozone comes in at £139 with the Grom at £159, not sure the 14 way divider is worth £20 to me.

I loved mine apart from the stupid sprung loaded hood.... Bag was rock solid but quite heavy, I only changed to go waterproof (H2NO)

In what way were they negative?

The aqua tech which is the waterproof alternative to the h2no apparently faded quickly in colour, and the Zips and seems all leaked.

I had one of their cart bags when I got the z3 and even after only 12 weeks certain areas which were not expensed to contact with the trolley ( ball pocket ) started to show fray wear. This could only be from transfer to and from club as my clubs were stored indoors.

It's a shame as it was a good looking bag with a lot of decent features.

I had the h2no which after 3 years of use I have just sold to another forum member, with the exception of a tiny bit of wear on one of the 6 deviders it was still totally functional and waterproof. I've just replaced it with a stadry which in told is also made by sun mountain. Yes these seem a little more to buy new (£125-150) if you hold out and shop about but I think value for money wise you won't beat one in terms of quality and waterproof protection for winter if of course your after a winter bag.

Yes everyone has them which is a pain as something different is nice, but everyone has them for a reason

Thanks Baz, luckily I am not after a waterproof bag so hopefully not something the others suffer from.
I had a couple of bad experiences with fully waterproof bags in the past so try to avoid them now.

Had an ogio grom carry bag a few years ago, great bag but heavy

I'd 2nd that
I had same bag , Grom , about 8-9 years ago
Nice bag, very well made, sturdy, good storage........but bit heavy when loaded up

No idea if the latest models are any lighter.....??

I switched mine to a Sun Mountain 3.5
But don't carry anymore now

Sensible Greig as they are never totally waterproof. Heavy nowadays equals well made, not lightweight money saving cut corners manufacturing gimmicks.

I don't think you'll regret an Ogio.

Cheers, problem I had with the last one was the water running off of it and straight on to me while carrying, so the bag was dry, the clubs were dry but I was soaked through.

I have decided on the Ozone as it's a shade over 2kg which makes it the same weight as my current Adidas Samba bag. I like the Grom, but not sure I need a 14 way divider.

I had an ogio carry bag 4 years ago. Cant remember the model. It was £130.
I loved the bag. The strap on it broke after 1 season however the customer service from ogio was excellent. They sent me a replacement within a week for free without showing proof of purchase. The bag lasted another season then the stand started playing up. I removed the stand and used it sometimes on my trollley.
I liked the hood set up, its spring assisted so you stretch it open take your club out and it closes again.
Also like the woode' set up with the dividers. The ball pocket is also a spring assisted pocket for quickness. Also has a pod for 3 balls to clip on the surface of the bag.

I would buy another again no problem. I got just over 2 years from.mine playing twice a week
