I'm currently looking at replacing my putter and I have a fancy either for one from the Ping Sigma family or an Odyssey O Works one. I like the look of some of the O Works but the top of the putters have a white finish, along with a black and red configuration for lining up the putt (there are red ones available as well but fewer of them). My worry is that some I am seeing on Ebay seem to lose the sharpness of the white finish, the white gets dirty or chipped. Looking down on that would annoy.
Have those people not looked after their putters or is it inevitable with that style of finish? Is there any way of recovering the finish or is it a case of once disfigured that is it?
