The Cook & Barker at Newton on the Moor nearby is also superb.

We at Dunbar have a reciprocal with Goswick, £25 for us i think, usually try to go down a couple of times a year, great course

That's brilliant value. I think the chill is meant to lift by then. What you are seeing now is quite common. There is a nip on the coast that lifts as the morning goes on.

The walkers at Dunstanburgh can be a bit irritating but it's worth putting up with them. Move that course up the coast to North Berwick etc and they would be charging £150 a round . Enjoy

Your next best courses going S are Branspeth (parkland) or Seaton Carew (top 100 Links)..... the latter will be an incredible sign off for what the NE of England can offer

Seahouses is okay, Arcot is a very nice James Braid course.

Alnmouth village is a quirky 9 hole, which you go around twice.

Maybe look north and play Eyemouth?

Going to Eyemouth this afternoon.

Foxton is busy, didn't really want to spend 3 hours in the car today when I'll be spending 7 or more in it tomorrow

That'll be a non golf trip where we've got 5 rounds in!

Seahouses, Dunstanburgh, Goswick, Bamburgh and Eyemouth.

Two weeks time, I'm up in Berwick with the lads. Oh dear!

Eyemouth's good holes are very good... there's a few oddities too. Smashing views, friendly people and we had a really nice meal in the clubhouse too.

spending 2 weeks near Embleton in 3 weeks time. We’ll be playing about 10 rounds - my wife also plays - while we are there. We try and go to Northumberland every year.

Going up to Northumberland on Wednesday until Sunday . I’m taking my clubs and thinking of playing Alnwick Castle on Friday morning if anyone is at a loose end and fancies joining me ?
Ps, Doesn’t have to be Alnwick , I’m staying in Lucker near Bamburgh so anywhere with 30 mins drive .
