I wasn't too sure what was meant by a Golf Monthly FB group till I realised that FB meant FaceBook.
I didn't know whether to be disappointed or relieved!

I think its the way private groups work. I'm no longer pending anyway.

It's a precaution to stop robots & undesirables joining & posting spam /porn. This happens on some of the groups I'm in, despite the vetting.

Wonder why it has been setup as a closed group, would have thought GM would have kept it as an open group

Sort of ironic isn't it, when you consider we are all here with obscure names and niks, then are offered another group to join where your personal details (name at minimum) are free for all to see......

Not really when a “new member” says we have created a group. Could just be a few like minded people. Not really a constructive comment there
