A 42.5 degree wedge is a joke. It is a 8.5 iron. That is so people can say 'Wow, those Wilsons hit the ball far'. Amusingly the 55 degree sand iron is a degree stronger than most.

To fill that gap, I would go for a 47 and 51 or 52 degree.

Yeah now that I know a lot more about the game im a bit pissed too!

I think I might dump them and go for the new Ci9s anyway, they look pretty sexy and have decent lofts or the i15s.

There was a guy on TV yesterday who only had lofts on the bottom of his clubs, every 4 degrees (or 5) sounds like a better idea to me!

Loft indeed.

I would prefer loft on the bottom of my clubs, rather than number, maybe even the distance in yds that I can hit each one lol!

mattie, a suggestion from my pro when I was getting short game lessons was to tape the distances I hit each club for each swing (1/2, 3/4 etc) to the shaft.
this is something I will do once I can get out and measure them. might look ugly but who cares if it works.
