OK, its been a few days since I found out I was using an illegal driver, I owned up and moved very quickly to remove my Srixon XX10 and replace it with a conforming driver.
I picked up a Yonex Cyberstar PowerBird (the legal one) on golf bidder of a measly £53, there were a few cheaper but this was in the best condition. Tried it out for the first time today and WOW !!!
Didn't think it could out hit my old XX10 but it did exactly that. The 9 degree loft had a fantastic penetrating flight and regularly hit it 270-280, about 15 yards longer than my illegal driver. The sound off the club isn't that great, kind of a dull, tinny sound but what the hell !!
