Yes, it is dreadful. I preferred it as it was. The lay out makes no sense anymore, it is harder to find things, and looks like it was designed to appeal to a ten year old, who wouldn't be reading the news any way.

I'll just copy what I put on their feedback site for things I didn't like.......................
1. THE BRIGHT YELLOW
2. The headlines column is just so in the wrong place and too narrow.
3. The top section above where the headlines and scores/results start looks disorganised, wrongly proportioned. Am I wrong or are headlines called headlines for a reason????
4. THE HIDEOUS BRIGHT YELLOW!!
5. Urrrgh, the contents of the headlines link to things such as Liverpool News or Business etc. Very few sports fans will want to venture into these areas. If it's relevant to sport then the story should live in the sport section with the news/business linking to the sports story.
6. The general design and layout of all the pages is just wrong. Looks like a 15 year olds IT project, and a first attempt at that.
7. Do you do any user evanuation or testing before putting something like this live?? Perhaps something to consider next time as I'm sure you can't have tested this properly.

It is awful, the old web site was perfect. It was functional, easy to use, easy to read and easy to find content. This is just a mess and very amateur looking.
I hate it when companies change perfectly good web sites. Used to use Play.com all the time as everything was easy to find on the front page of wach section. New one is far worse and I now use Amazon more.

Impossible to find anything using it on the Blackberry. Wanted to find out about this guy Fulham had signed and gave up after about two minutes. The old site was great and easy for things like seeing the golf scores how many England had been bowled out for etc.
Because some BBC executive who is paid lots of money by the licence payer to do their job badly, instructed a website designer who is also paid lots by the licence payer to do their job badly.
And he did ! :angry:
