Am I missing something?

When I used to google "Rules of Golf", the first website on the searchlist was the R&A website. If I google that now, it is nowhere to be seen.

If I google R&A Rules of golf, I still can't find the rules of golf website (not yet anyway, so it isn't easy). I get a link to a website that I can purchase the rules of golf.

Yeah, that is the website I spoke off. With the "Add to Cart" option. I just want to read them, not buy them

Sorry wrong link

Also it’s best to use the App
I have the App, and would use that normally.

But, when I'm sitting in my office on a desktop computer, it is infinitely easier to use the computer than it is messing about on my phone. I was just wondering why I've found it so difficult to find now. In one search, I found the site I was used to, except it was in some sort of foreign language 🤔

Just bookmark this link

Is Google American?
It's nationality is irrelevant, unless Google has suddenly decided it only wants to show American results in recent times. It used to simply have the RandA website at the top of the list when searching for the Rules of Golf, now it doesn't.

At least, not on my work computer or mobile phone anyway

I noticed this the other day. It just took me to the R&A shop and the first correct result was quite low down (a page or so) and in Polish - very odd.

You have to choose a language. The R&A covers the RoW outside the the USA and Mexico

Once you have chosen it seems to remember

When I use Google to search for "rules of golf", the first site shown is Golf Canada (I'm in Canada).

The issue is that not finding the website at the top of the page and the fact that it is in Polish and not English are new things, this has not been the case for the last many years, as you were always taken immediately to the correct site in the correct language.

Was the language English? Did you previously have the facility of changing language?

The language has always been English however as stated it recently now shows up in Polish. I can, of course, change it to English and do so - why it does this now is the mystery.

Once I had chosen English it always comes up in English.
