I’m after some new golf shoes, but want to make sure I buy something comfortable.

I’ve been looking at the FootJoy Hyperflex and DNA 2.0 shoes, and also various Adidas boost shoes.

Anyone comment on whether the above are any good or recommend any shoes?

shoes such a personal thing, basically you need to find those that fit you best.

Personally Im an Ecco fan and they fit me like a glove, Adidas I wear out the heel in a few months and many a year since I wore a comfy FJ shoe.

Next bloke on may find adidas fit best and recommend those, the one after puma, the one after FJ etc etc. Find what fits you best and that will be the best shoe for you

Why not visit your local American Golf and try different types on, see what you prefer then shop around for the best price.

Can't go wrong with the DNA 2.0 that are available at under £99 at the moment, bargain!

Yeah, the only problem is I’m a small shoe size (6.5 in FootJoy) and not many places have the them in my size. I’ll have to see what the official FootJoy site is selling them at.

Adidas boost. Without a doubt.
Not the tour360 though.

VERY comfy and grippy.

Thanks, I tried one of them today and found it comfy. Not sure if I’d need the wide or regular fit though.

Why not the tour360?

I have done that but most of them don’t have all the models. I know a lot of the Adidas models have felt narrow and loads of places don’t stock the wide version.

I might just order a few pairs on a credit card from the same place and return the ones I don’t want.

the new Mizuno shoe is a great shoe very comfortable and so far waterproof, no idea what they cost mind

I have a few foot issues so comfort is so important to me

I used to swear by only footjoy contours

I now have callaway summer shoes but the best I have found now are Nike !!!

2 years previous mode £50 a pair on eBay got 3 pairs ,1 black with grips, 1 white with grips and 1 white summer shoe

£150 for 3 brilliant shoes

i read this post whilst noticing the 'Homer' character to the side. i nearly fell over that homer wanted shoe advice. thats like bill Gates asking someone for software advice.

but in all seriousness there's no point asking about shoes as you just going to get a list of every shoe on the market.
that's because we all have different shaped feet. i find footjoy incredible uncomfortable but anything nike is ok.

trial and error I'm afraid

I'm not a fan of the DNA's myself. Think they are quite ugly looking shoes. But then again my style is more classic, hence my choice being the Footjoy Dryjoy Tour. Comfortable and looks the part.

And although the Yak leather Ecco dimple soles are expensive, they are without doubt the most comfortable shoe i have ever owned. Add to that, that they are used more than any of my other shoes and have lasted ages, they are worth the investment IMO.

Thanks guys, the D.N.A Helix shoes are out next month so if I go FootJoy I’ll wait for those.

However the new Powerband boost by Adidas are supposed to be super comfortable.

I’ll take a look at Ecco as I’ve never tried their stuff before.

If you choose Adidas, make sure you try them first. I'm normally a 10.5 or 11 but had to buy 12 for the Adicross! I've never had bigger than an 11 for any type of shoe so I think Adidas have different sizes to everyone else.

I've got the Footjoy DNA 1.0 and was amazed that I took a size 8 in them whereas I am a 9 in all other things Footjoy. Very comfy shoes though.
Can't speak of the Adidas Powerband but I am awaiting a pair in 9.5 Wide which seem to fit well. All other Adidas are way too narrow on me though. The Powerband seems to have a wider toe section.
