Well gents,
Played 18 holes tonight with my regular partner, started with a par, but then lost two balls on the next 2 holes for an eight and a six, ralleyed a bit for the second half of the front nine, and then it happened!
11th hole, 475 yd par 5, playing into the wind. Hit driver about 275/280 yds, first cut on the left. Been hitting my 5 wood well recently so thought I'd risk it and go for the green, struck it sweet as a nut, with a little fade. Watched it bounce softly on the front of the green, then roll straight in! Having only played golf for just over a year, and only getting my first eagle a couple of months ago, I'm absolutley chuffed to bits. Rest of the round was prettey average, shot an 85, but can't stop smiling! Sorry if this is classed as "willy waving", but to be honest, I just don't care!!!!! :D :D :D

Congrats! Treasure it because it may never happen again, but heres to a repeat next time :D I've only had one eagle and that was on a par 4! I've been playing a similar time to you but I can't hit it far enough to reach par 5s in two so that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Nice one, I doubt I or many others on here will ever get one so you are very fortunate. Rejoice in the moment and store the memory firmly in your mind for the next time you have a 200 yard approach shot to play ;)

Well done,007!
As far as I'm concerned you can ''wave your willy'' as much as you want. This is what golf is about!

Plenty of eagles but never an Albatross- very well done.
So next time you approach this hole, your playing partners have every right to shout "GETINTHEHOLE" as you hit it!!

Congrats, I doubt many people will have an Albatross. I had my first eagle yesterday aswell, made up for a disappointing day having lost the first match of the year on the last. Any how, keep it up :D.

Congrats fella, I'm chuffed if I get a birdie, an eagle and I'm estatic, but never had an albatross.

I think this is a bit of a double willy waving, first for the albatross and second for the 280yard drive into the wind. Thats golf I can only dream of.

Chuffed for you.

I posted last year when I got my second ever albatross, 20 years after the first! Hope you don't have to wait that long for the next one.

Well done.

I reckon i'd still be bouncing about now if i'd managed an albatross.
