Having played my home course regulary now for just over two years i have never broke 70,par 66,however i have shot 70 three times.Today playing with two friends i shot 67,2 over on the front 1 birdie, one under on the back 3 birdies,so today, even though im having a wisdom tooth out this afternoon, nothing can get me down, im chuffed.Of course now ive got to do it in competition but i always knew it was in there. And i was not using my new irons. :)

Well done, man. A grand achievement. Enjoy.

A couple of years ago I shot my first (and possibly only ever) sub 70. A level par 67. I was trolleyed for three days and will never forget it.

Have a virtual beer on me! Happy days.

Great job sir, I know the feeling well and am still enjoying it days on, I hope it will be the same for you.

Have a great week

PJ, that is great scoring - congratulations. Why are you changing irons, those ones seem pretty useful? :)

2 over front nine isn't really acceptable is it? Think you should be disappointed with yourself rather than pleased - you threw away a par or even sub-par round with your shoddy play over the front nine!! :D :D :D

Well done mate - great shooting. Keep it up and you'll be giving me a few shots at Beau Desert!

Can you still get a refund on the new irons PJ ? ;)

Good shooting mate, and just to spur you on to get lower, your handicap is exactly the same as mine now

Just think what you would have shot with yr new irons !!! Congrats mate, that putter's been hot since Beau Desert !!

Thx mate unfortunately no refund, typically ive been a bit off with the irons recently and thats why i felt i needed a change, then i go and have my best round. As for hp,mine needs updating to 9.8.

1 over par? Well done. Your game seems to have really moved forward recently. Congrats.

Thx Justone, yes i agree it has moved on a bit, down to lots of practice on the short game, and dropping the 60 degree wedge on most chip shots,i still use it from fluffy lies but not the short stuff.

Well done pj....could be taking the cash at the next meet with shooting like that.

I managed 9 holes after work.....finished level par after starting with a double bogie but then threw in 3 birdies and another bogie....I still managed to lose to a 17 handicapper by a hole giving him full shots :o
(waits for bobmac to add his tuppance worth!! :D :D)
