My 1st win

I've just been told that I won the Wednesday stableford. I only scored 38 points but it was a poor turnout due to the lousy weather.

My last 4 results have been 2nd,4th,2nd,1st. hopefully the handicap sec. will wield the axe pretty soon.

The Weds comps are off yellows one week and whites the following week. The 4th and the 1st were off yellows.My scores weren't spectacular (36,37,38 and 41) but surely they were much better than the average score for each competition. Perhaps our handicap sec hates stableford

your scores are level and then under par for the others so give him a nudge

It doesn't matter what tees your playing. If it is a qualifying comp and the course is no shorter than 100 yds than the measured distance, you're playing off full handicap then you should get handicap adjustments after every round. It's not up to your h'cap secretary, he has a responsibilty to make adjustments after every qualifying round under the rules layed out by CONGU.

The only reason you wouldn't get an adjustment is if the competition is specified as non-qualifying before you start or the CSS is more than 3 above SSS in which case it is reductions only.

I'd have a word with him if I were you and ask him to explain the lack of adjustment.
