We were watching the match last night at a mates house who has HD on a nice big screen

About 4 minutes into the match, We had a throw in, next thing we see is an AD Break, and when it came back about 20 seconds later, we were 1-0 up

Did anyone else have this, I feel robbed of the one moment of elation in the entire match.

Someone at TV centre needs a good talking to...

You are correct,he chased around and was turned inside out without coming close to putting in a challenge and then let Dempsey shoot tamely and Green blundered,so firstly it was Gerrards fault. If Gerrard had done his job the goal wouldn't have happened.

Fixed that for you. :D

Yes. The feed was lost, so they put on an advert.

Bad timing indeed.

Really annoying that wasn't it. I was watching at a mates and his 6yr old was watching his 1st England world cup game. I felt so gutted for him to miss his 1st goal.

I seem to remember that isn't the 1st time ITV have done that. I wouldn't have thought it was to do with a lost feed as I would think the feed is the same for SD & HD, they would just send out higher quality signal to the HD channel.

Seemed to me more like someone pressed the wrong button.

It was a pretty poor attempt at an apology too.

So getting back goalside, then not letting Dempsey get past him and forcing him into a hurried, scuffed shot from 30yds is now bad defending??

That's the kind of innovative coaching that makes Scotland such a force in world football, everyone else is doing it wrong!!

Quality laughs Dodger, I'd expect that sort of comment from my wife, along with how good their costumes look!!! :D

I feel robbed of the one moment of elation in the entire match.

I would have been more gutted if the USA had nicked a winner in the last couple of minutes and that had been blacked out to be honest.
I would have loved to have seen the overpaid knobs get beaten.
And now we've got a "tough one" coming up on Friday....Algeria. ALGERIA!!!!!
How bloody tough can that be???

I hope we get mullered 3-0.
