mb clubs for 28 hc

Why exactly has he bought them and who advised him ?

He liked the look of them as a guy he had a round with who played off 2 had them and as for advised him he made his own mine up, there is another guy at our club uses them off 24 and he finds it difficult to hit them

he just call me got a set of zm titleist! stiff shaft pre loved. He sent me a pic and they do look stunning i must admit dont think i would ever use mb clubs they look just they could cause pain

Oh dear, they are very unforgiving clubs

He bought them because he liked the look of them ! Did he even go to a pro or at least AG to try different sets out ?!

A fool and his money

£250 was very strong moneywise.

As for blades, I had blades on a high handicap, and in the most I hit them well

The difference between blades and GI clubs that I see is that a non-pure strike with a GI club can almost go un-noticed, whereas with a bladed club it will be dramatically noticeable, and on a cold day, when you thin a 3-Iron, pretty damn painful too!!

Sure, he can play ok with them, and get it round the course. Sure, he will think he is hitting them ok. What he won't know, is how much better he might be playing if he bought something more suitable.p

I agree. Silly choice in my opinion. Golf is supposed to be a pleasurable pass time, and I am struggling to see how a 28 handicapper using clubs with very little forgiveness will get much pleasure from it. Especially when there are so many sets of clubs out there which will offer more help and forgiveness. Which lets face it, is what a 28 handicapper needs. I know, I am around that mark.

People are different. I started with blades, not these muscle back pseudo-blades that we have now but proper thin jobbies. I honestly think that my ball striking is better than if I'd have used GI irons from the start because they more or less force you to hit the ball well or score garbage.

I can understand that some people get their enjoyment from the ball going where they want it to and scoring as well as they can, but I'd rather get a rubbish result from a rubbish contact and know that good shots are the result of good swings.

well said gary. another thing, if this guy is in it for the long haul, them clubs could easily last him until he plays off scratch. he might not feel the same about JCB irons. ;)

this guy wont be a 28 hacker forever! very few people are! it takes some time but nearly everyone gets there! some faster than others!
