Many of us get out today?

I've only done the front nine and left HID and friend to do the rest. My knee is hurting so decided to be sensible. Rain did stop whilst we were out but it's still really windy. Some of the NW mafia are out on the course now.....

No golf on the horizon here, everywhere is just so wet even if its open. Range tomorrow and then a fitting Tuesday, then more range it looks like.

9 holes today, thought it would be quiet because of the trolley ban but car park was 1/2 full. The wind was horrific, 30+mph gusts. I could have done 18 but the two blokes in front slowed me down and I got cold. Need to look at a better wind stopper think my present ones have kicked the bucket.

Well after only 8 holes being open yesterday, and more overnight rain, all 18 holes were amazingly open today, very wet in some places, very windy but stayed dry.

Played winter League 4BBB penultimate game against the leaders, 2 points ahead of us in second place. Great match, never more than a hole in it and all square going down the last where the hole and match was halved.

Shot of the day for me was a peach of a drive to 5 feet on the short par 4 fifth and eagle putt right in the middle. :D

Lesson this morning and seven holes in 30 odd mph wind this afternoon - was a bit wary of going out with a swing tweak in wind as I've got previous for losing my swing in a gale - but knocked it around OK.

One of the holes which was downwind today I normally hit driver 7 iron - but was at the back of the green today with 6 iron off the tee 7 for second shot.

Great day of golf, course was amazingly dry, not even any standing water (and just 2 bunkers had some water in them). Florida scramble and we managed a respectable 6under gross, but not enough for a win :(

Had a medal today and managed my worst score in 12 months, made 6 pars but couldn't find a way to control the ball in the 60mph gusts and can't remember going ob so many times. Still enjoyed it and came off with a smile at the end so not all bad.

Managed to get 17 in, before going to watch the hockey this afternoon. As the path after the 17th leads straight to the car park :D

Difficult conditions at least 3 club wind on the way in, unfortunately into it :P

Good work to all those that went out and braved the weather conditions

It's highly possible that playing in awful wind could improve your golf dramatically

Nothing better than being on the course as opposed to on a range

I had a very enjoyable game around leasow with liverbirdie. managed to hold him off and take the doh! long game wasn't great but chipped quite well. my putting wasn't great either. wind was blowing a hooley. tough conditions but it was nice to play a dry course. in face it was a pleasure!

tried out Cleveland classic xl 3 and 5 woods for the first time today. we didn't really hit it off. hooks all day long. why did they make the faces on them so bloody closed?

Played as a green fee over the essex. Had water features in the middle of fairways that shouldnt of been there but i was just happy to get a round in.
