Many of us get out today?

Yep 18 holes this morning in nice sunshine and a stiff sea breeze. Played pretty well but got spanked by a couple of bunkers for getting over confident. Lesson learnt. Fresh sprinkling of fertilizer on the greens rendered putting a but random and very slow for our greens.

Yup, managed to get out. Lesson mid-week paid dividends!! shot 79 (37 points) and took the majority of money available in our morning swindle

We had 14 holes open over our 3 loops of 9. As it was windy as hell and it was the first week back from injury I just played 6 holes and stopped. Seemed sensible to ease my way back. Played ok, birdied my first hole, parted the next then mainly bogies. Hoping that there will be a full course next week.

75MPH gusts of wind kind of put me off going out to play today although a couple of us did think about it for 9 holes and a giggle but thought better of it in the end. Might try and get out tomorrow if the wind is calmer.

Was due to play East Devon but that was underneath The Perfect Storm so back at my place - just 3 temps out there.

Good bit of wind practice in prep for Porthcawl at the end of the month

25 of us playing in the swindle tomorrow. Course holding up well despite the biblical rain we've been having. Main problem lately has been trying to find a way to the course using a road that hasn't been closed due to the flooding/fallen trees etc... :o

Yup 18 at WMGC, loved it, gale force winds & impossible putting but strangely I actually really enjoyed it, made me really think more than usual, knocking in low 4 Irons on the par 5's, chipping 6 iron from 100 yards, actually really enjoyed it... and made the island green with an 8 iron with a jumbo jet engine of a right to left wind. :)

You just don't try do you........

Did have a few on the range with a cross wind. Hit a lovely 9 iron straight down the middle until it got above the trees then it turned hard right. We did have a right laugh while we pretended to practice! :fore:

Yep managed to play yesterday only 3 of us ventured out blowing a Gail but sunny. Good practice for burnham and berrow next week. Was hitting the ball well especially with the driver until the grip came lose at the top and then struggled to hit it as well. Had 8 temps also. Rain and hail got us right at the end of the round but I enjoyed it

Off to the course now, playing in a Florida scramble, so should be fun whatever the weather. Looks dry at the moment, but a tad windy
