Played this morning, rain more or less hung off but blowing an absolute hoolie.

Comp was part of the winter series, 3/4 handicap off yellow tees.

Finished with 31 points of which 23 were made by parring 8 holes.

4 no scores in the other 10 holes.

Chipping is killing me at the moment and the annoying thing is I have very few problems with it when practising.

Nope. Course was open yesterday (?), bright and windy this morning but course closed! Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Went out with Wayman, really enjoyed it despite having a huge hangover
Nobbed my tee shot on the first in front of about 15 onlookers lol, got better though ended up with about 30 odd points give or take.

Yep but only 10 open it was wet underfoot though, they'll open 14 holes on Monday for the 5 day members. Typical.

Yep, in wind and gales just after lunch. Did a good circuit we have of 13 holes. Weather vile so only saw 6 other people on the course. HID was test driving a Titleist 3 wood and rescue.

Course open but didn't go due to hangover issues! And to top it off it was a beautiful day here today.Got a medal in the morning and forecast it's raining. Schoolboy error drinking on the wrong night me thinks.

I got out. Started at 7am this morning ringing 15 course to see who was open as mine been shut nearly the whole of January. The reason why I needed to find somewhere open was that tomorrow is the deadline to play the 3rd round match of the John Letter Plate comp. We've had to cancel it many times already. I rang the organisers this week asking for an extension and they said no, if we don't get it played we're both out!! Well neither of us wanted that so we committed to get it played today. We ended up paying over the odds, £35 to play Pedham Place near Swanley. It should of been shut to be fair so much standing water. Well the rain held of except for two monsoon downpours one at the start and one round the turn, apart from that it was windy, very windy, i.e par 3 200 yards into the wind, took a driver and wedge to get to the green!!! Anyway I won so it was all worth the wait. I'm very pleased seeing as it's my first match since 5th Jan. He was giving me two shots but tpyically I lost that hole on the front, turned at 4 up, then went to five, then lost a couple but ended up winning the 15th for 5&3 win.

So happy to be back out playing. I just hope my own course opens soon otherwise its going to get expensive paying to play!

Yup, emotional round of golf, didn't help that it started lashing it down on the 8th and i had no waterproofs or umbrella and up to that point i only had a handful of points, although finished with 18 in the last 7 - 2 birdies, 2 shanks, 7 blobs. Course is holding up though, played friday and the 4th was on a temp, first time in 2 years of being there i'd seen a temp used, today was all main greens.

Another beautiful day in inversneck. Played this morning , but I don't think I've hit the ball that badly in a while. Irons fine , any shot with driver and woods weak and right!! Managed a few birdies but still managed to be on the winning team!

Managed to play this afternoon on our near empty course. 30+ mph winds but gave me good practice for Burnham and Berrow next week. Our 8th is the same length and position as Burnhams first so good practice. Measured my drive at 178yds into the wind :D. Roll on next sunday !
