Totally agree.

I've been waiting years to see Van Der Sar make a mistake like that. Absolutely amazing.

Fair play to West Brom for holding their own too.

As much as I dislike the majority of the top teams, there's nothing better than seeing the Scum falter due to their own inept mistakes.

Yeah, the wheels have fallen off, bigtime.

They're equal 3rd on points, and have lost two games already.

Anyone who doesn't think they'll end up in the top 3 is daft.

Anyone who doesn't think they'll end up outside the top two is probably an Arsenal or Man City fan.

Anyone who is willing to put money on that is either rich or stupid.

I'd love to see them fail, not qualify for Europe, get their debt called in and colapse in on themselves like some other greedy team we could mention. But I'm not counting my chickens untill Easter at least. Fergy has got that horrible habit of getting it right when it matters.

Couldn't agree more...no doubt some "Man U Fans" from London, Ireland etc (anywhere except Manchester) who have never been to Old Trafford in their lives will post their disagreement !!

Sorry that's us - Utd haven't lost a game yet - they just keep on drawing.

If Shrek has quit, then they'll get rid of him for vast vast amounts of cash and Fergy will be looking to tap up his replacement about now.

I still can't see a disaster looming.

As a Chelsea fan am more worried about our mounting injury list and shakey form at the moment!!

Love him or hate him, whilst Fergie is in charge you can never rule Man U out of anything; his track record is too bloody good. Fully expect the title to still be between Chelsea and Man U irrespective of whether shrek stays or goes this season.

@ Pieman, i think your right never rule them out, i still feel they will finish ahead of city but see this one going right down to the last few games of the season.

With Utd they had the likes of becks, giggs and scholes all coming on the scene around the same time.. I think they need another 2/3 players like this again (as in last season)..

Even with the sale of ronaldo for 80 million no real money spent on players. And lets face it i know 80 million you could not buy another ronaldo but at least they could have got a centre back that in a year or two could replace rio as jonny evans is just not good enough.

It always makes me laugh when the ManU haters think their teams are now fit to reign, and see the demise of Man U.

However, can I remind those people that while they are playing very badly by their own standards, they are still joint 2nd, with Rooney hardly contribiting AT ALL.

Sure, he may go, he may stay, but no-one is bigger than the team, and after surviving the losses of Beckham, Van Nistelroy, Stam, Veron,, and even the Ego himself, we remain a major force.

Regardless of all of this, what Man U do is always done with 50% of their squad being British, and should the FA ever develop the balls to instigate changes to protect our game, the Red's would be unnafected.

oh, and with Fergie still running the place, no-one will get good odds against anything Man U are involved in.

This attitude really racks me off. I live in Aylesbury. Miles from anywhere ManU are ever likely to play. I can't justify the expense of travelling to OT to see them if I could get a ticket anyway.
I can support a team I've never seen. I support England but I've not seen them either.

Despite their lack of form they remain unbeaten. The loss of Valencia who creates a shed load of goals is a big miss for them coupled with Rooney being posted missing for all intents and purposes.

Whether Rooney goes or stays I think they need another creative/attacking midfielder in the mould of Ronaldo / Valencia. They had a top keeper in Foster to replace Van Der Sar but decided to sell him on?

Obviously no teams to support in Aylesbury...in fact, none between Aylesbury & Manchester.
Most Man u "Fans" would struggle to name 3 current players as most are bored housewives with no interest in football but claim to be Man U fans...What happened to supporting your local team.

Im a Man Utd fan(i go to a few games each year) and think its been a very slow start but you always know we'll have a great finish to the season. Shrek out? good thing i think, brings in money to buy a striker that can actually score goals

Man Utd will survive Shrek going. Fergie is too astute to worry about an ego and lets face it if your top strike ain't scoring anyway then what difference does it make if he doesn't play. There are loads of good strikers worldwide and I wouldn't be surprised to see Rooney go in January.

I think the problem is that they need him at the moment, certainly in Europe and so its still a catch-22 situation. I think once European qualification for the next stages is tied up he'll drop Rooney for the PL. He's cup-tied in Europe anyway now. I can't see him going to City or Chelsea or indeed any other PL club and so that leaves Spain, Italy or Germany as the main contenders.
