Made it through to round 2 of the matchplay championship without playing :)

Myself and a friend entered into the pairs matchplay championship www.matchplaychampionship.co.uk/rules.aspx.

We got our first draw through Monday and we were really excited.

Checked my email today and have an email from the matchplay organiser saying the pair we were playing entered twice so we have made it through to round 2 without even turning up to the club.

I'm pleased we are through but really wanted to play to get through (hollow victory)

From memory they are kept in a separate competition from the people with real handicaps... at least that is the case in the singles.
