Losing weight/fitness thread

Fun session this morning based on rotation and core strength. Didn't look at what was programmed until I got into the gym did the first 3 exercises as superset, then I saw what the 4th one of the day was!

Barbell hip thrusts! Never done them before and relatively easy to set up and simple movement. But now I know why my wife and other women hate doing them in busy gyms! There were 2 attractive young ladies in today and there I am hip thrusting across a bench feeling vulnerable and like I’m being looked and worrying my balls were gonna come out of my shorts 😂. In future I’ll check the next days training in advance and take myself off to a quiet corner when that exercise next appears in the session. Finished off with some rowing intervals and a stretch, I’m still having to make myself do the stretching as it’s so easy just to not bother but it’s definitely working.

Interval session today, on nights and slept poorly. So pretty happy with my session.
Hit all my reps not a lot more I can ask for really.

3 spin workouts this week plus one planned for tomorrow morning, although a couple of beers are helping me get over our rubbish defeat today, so we'll see in the morning! Saying it quietly but my shoulder is feeling as good as it's been in months. Been doing the physio exercises so continuing with them. Played 18 holes on Wednesday and felt fine Thursday so fingers crossed I'm on the mend. Added in some light weight shouler dumbbell presses yesterday and again today feeling good.

Think it’s a shin splint on my left side, anyone got any experience of this?
Seems ok when I get moving (walking) but really sore until I get going.
Rest, ensuring you have the absolute correct footwear for the job they’re meant to do and strengthening around the tibialis but done with light weight/exercise. Unfortunately shin splints is a time consuming recovery.

Some GVT deadlifts today and explosive leg work after. Left my nervous system absolutely fried for a good hour after and unlike me needed a high sugar caffeine hit. So for the first time in as long as I can remember I had a full sugar can of Monster.

I also got distracted halfway though when Mrs M was doing her hip thrusts pretty much opposite where is was deadlifting 😂

Just over 7 mile steady this afternoon, thought I’d try a different time of the day to run, got to be honest it was really quiet, really enjoyable, pace was 9:18 avg which is good.

Best part was running through the town for my cool down, it was like a scene from a zombie movie, the SLand fans have/are having a good session.😂
