Losing weight/fitness thread

Well that's 2 weeks since I stopped having the jab. Definitely increased appetite but I have managed to keep to what my fitness pal has recommended me per day calories wise

116.2kg weigh in today bringing the total loss since boxing day to 9.8kg, delighted it's still going down

Still not had a crisp which is key for me. Soon as I have one I'll be back on them

@Marshy77 I’m enjoying the Jefit app, thanks for sharing. Good to track progress and also do exercises to target specific muscle groups. Is there a way of the app suggesting a plan? At minute I’m putting them together myself.

Gym session last night, first one that has felt decent in a wee while.
Debating a run tonight, but still a fresh wind later 26mph, gusting to 36mph.

Back on it yesterday afternoon Wanted to try get a bit of cardio in before my weight session so thought I'd do an incline treadmill walk. Decided after 8 mins I wanted to up it so lowered the incline and started jogging. Did 1 minute jogging 1 minute walking for the next 22 minutes. Stopped at 30 minutes as my right knee told me to stop 🤣. Pleased with that though. Great weight session after plus a bit of advice from my mate who's a body builder about slight adjustments to my dumbbell exercises.

My main focus now needs to be sorting my calories out.

In the app under workout there should be Find, My plans and Mix. Under Find there's sessions in there that you can use for workouts plus add or take off exercises within that workout. Also under Exercises you can choose which muscle group you want to work. They'll then suggest exercises that you could put together in a plan.

Cheers. I’ve been doing that. Was hoping it would put a plan I could do in 45-60 mins. It kind of does but I’ve had to select the exercises to form my plan. I’ve noticed I’m blindly following what I select - which is good. But also noticing I’m unconsciously picking exercises I like - and avoiding ones I possibly struggle with (flys mainly plus some of the core stuff). Will have to make a more conscious effort to plan in.

Yes some of the exercises either don't fit the gym, have space or want to do them in a busy gym so change them for better exercises for the space etc. not sure if you can set the time but my plans seem to be about 60 minutes long.

4miles last night in 39mins and 6.56miles tonight in 1 hour on the dot, both runs felt pretty decent.
Next run will be Thursday night.
Gym tomorrow(legs) and Tuesday(chest) then home on Wednesday from work 😀

Simmer meals arrived yesterday, neatly packed away in the fridge

2 meals grabbed for work tomorrow lunch and dinner (jerk chicken and salt n chilli chicken)

Have had a busy day repairing the light under the stairs (these jobs always take longer than planned as the previous owner did love a bodge job) , and then managed to put up the new bathroom cabinet the Mrs asked me to build so least I've achieved something

Sat down to my first meal (burrito) was blooming delicious

Quick enough to crack on with the tidying up after all that mess making and doing the last few bits to finish just in time for everyone to arrive home from school.

Definitely impressed with simmer thus far. Makes it easier if the meals are like that , all good 👍

Read the above. Logged onto Facebook. First thing in my feed is a Simmer ad!!

I am however interested...

Worth it with the 25% off for the first 4 orders. Very costly after but if it saves me time might just be worth it still.

The test will be work. I did enjoy how little faff lunch was. Altho it's the snacking at work (even tho it's healthy stuff) that adds up!

What size meal did you get? We tend to share standard sized ready meals as we're not big eaters. I usually add some veg.

We went for the standard size as we won't eat them together, when I'm working late wife will have one on busier days when kids have clubs and I'll have when I'm working (along with my curries which I'll do a batch Monday)
