Longest Serving Forum Members

Today is the 7th year I've been coming on this forum any idea who are the longest posting members on here?. Im not the most prolific of posters as you can see , but over the 7 years I've been coming on here I've met some cracking lads and played some great courses, some i hadn't heard of and some id never gave much thought about playing. This year so far I'm really looking forward to playing at Nairn as I've heard a lot about it. Onwards and Upwards:thup:

Same here Steve, some of the guys have not been on here in years which is a shame as there were some great lads 6 years ago. i started lurking in 2007, but didn't post anything till a couple of years later and it was the Scottish meets that got me involved.

Only one i can think of would be homer, but Im sure there are longer serving posters out there.

I wouldn't get your Hopes up for Nairn.... its over rated

it amazes me the amount that signed up but have never posted.

When did the forum actually start or go live ?

Alota guys have gone in the last few years for one reason or another ,

i think u start with great gutso and after a while you kinda read more than contribute as you've probably seen the same discussion a few time , understandable as the members change that things get repeated tho

No, 2008 for me and it was in full swing by then.
Homer was probably on a couple of thousand posts already !

Gosh, is it really that long??? It says I registered 12th Jan 2007. I'm sure I've done more than 1900 odd posts....at least, my boss thinks so!

I joined 15th January 2007 but haven't been on for a while, mainly because the new format did my head in and I found it harder to keep up with threads. I used to be addicted, now I pop in less frequently. Ah, change eh?

I did arrange the first ever actual match between forumers (with Madandra at Craigielaw) which led to more forumers meeting up in person and ultimately to the "arrange a game" section starting up. Before then it was truly a purely online forum with people guessing how others played! Also played in the inaugural Golf Monthly Challenge match with Madandra, Atticus_Finch & Birdieman against Mike, Jezz, Paul and Fergus at the Jubilee Course back in January 2008. That was a great laugh and has led to some good friendships.
