Couldn't agree more, I popped my forum cherry at Blairgowrie all be it in a joint meet with the HDID lot having joined here Dec 2011.

Been to 2 Machrihanish overnighters and the Highland one last year which was excellent.

A hardy crew to open the weekend

Just for Steve seen as he opened this thread, a few in there who we sadly miss there posting on the forum(s) (craw, Iain, etc)

Played 3 open venues with forumers, played some cracking courses in the NW which led me to joining one.

Lots of golf planned this year, a couple of good meets early on at Glasgow Gailes and Alwoodley with the National final again at Hillside which hopefully will be superd, we have the NW OOM also which has been absolutely superb the last 2 years and looks to be going the same way this year. I've already booked to play Royal Birkdale with a couple of forumers too this year.

I've met some top people who have become firm friends over the last few years and long may it continue.

That line at Machrihanish is legendary aim a wee bit right touch of draw middle of the fairway job done

November 2010 for me.. 4 and a 1/2 years of talking to my imaginary golfing friends whilst pretending to listen to what my wife is saying... Still the best thing I ever did, even if it can properly do your head in sometimes...

I joined at the end of the summer I took the game up, I had been reading the mag before that but I cannot remember why I joined...
