Liverpool Golfers - advice please.

To get there yes but a bit out of the way for getting home. Either going straight home or via Warrington it is straight on the M53 from the Wirral courses.

Imo it's worth the extra 30mins drive to play Hillside,Formby and S&A.

Wallasey will be more of a memorable experience in my opinion. Caldy is nice and has some lovely holes along the cliffs but just doesn't work as an 18 for me. If you decide in Heswall let me know and I'll sign you in for the members guests rate of £15

 A great offer. Thanks.

Well we have decided on Wallasey at £50 each. Just have to hope that the strong winds forecast for that weekend are not too bad.

Thanks for all the advice and offers.

Sorry to hijack but when you say I'll sign you in do you have to physically be there on the day to sign you in and play a round with you?

There maybe an odd occasionally place where you don't have to be present but the majority of courses the member has to actually sign names in the visitors book.

Wow. That was certainly a baptism of fire at Wallasey today. First hole lulled you into a false sense of security but the next 4 holes were all into the teeth of the gale. I even played driver on two of the par 3's today.

Not sure what to make of the tenth which is a short dogleg par 4 with a raised green. The pin was right at the front but you had to play it to the back to stop it being blown off. You then had to hope the downhill putt didn't go off the green and roll 50 yards back down the hill.

Will be back to play it again when hopefully it is a bit less windy a bit drier and a bit warmer.
