Going to a wedding in Crosby on 28 Feb so a mate and I are looking for a game the day after. It is only just down the road from West Lancs but no chance of a game there, first tee time available is 3.06 and they want £75 each with no chance of getting the full 18 in.

Any other local recommendations without going further north to Formby etc where it will also be tough to get a game?

Cheers.

Not that good on knowledge of Liverpool courses but Caldy is nice, Heswall meant to be also if you're anywhere near there?

Are you looking for something on the way home on Sunday? If so which way are you heading?
Formby really isn't that far from Crosby 15-20 mins. You've also got Formby ladies and Formby hall over that way. Both good winter courses.

I don't think Theres much else around North Liverpool other than west lancs.

Two good calls there and they would be on the way home. Heswall has quite a few tee time available mid morning and is only £30 each.

Yes heading to North Wales, possibly via Warrington.

Wallasey is a fantastic course, that'd be my first call.. If the price was right I'd go for that.
Other than that, definately Caldy. I think its £35 on a Sunday and they're usually pretty accomodating

Looks like one of those on the Wirral then.

Cheers

Wallasey has fairway mats on 4 holes currently if it makes any difference to your thoughts, they'll be on till March. Winter green fee is £50

Formby has a 4-ball price of £220, which is a great deal, but individual prices are £70 on the Sunday, but half price on the summer fee.

As a course its better than Caldy, Wallasey(just) and Heswall. Only 10-15 minutes from Crosby.

Well worth it, but check they have tee times left first, as only nornally offer for 10-11.00 am.

Shame were all going the following week at the fourball price of £55 each.

Even with Fairway mats I'd still go for Wallasey.. One of my favourite courses.. Heswall and Caldy are good, but not in the same league really..

I cant believe with all the Lee park members on here that someone hasn't suggested Royal Lee Park for a game

It'd be quicker to get to hillside,S&A Formby and Formby hall than wallasey and caldy from Crosby.
