DeChambeau is at the level where he could be offered equity in LIV itself in the absence of upfront money.I see Brysons options are
Stay with Liv
No signing on fee (IF PIF are no longer willing to pay these)
Keep his equity in The Crushers team
Earn enough OWGR Pts to stay in top 50 to play in majors if needed.
Go to PGAT
Wait a year to play events
or pay a 5 million fee to charity to come straight back (If Offered)
Lose equity in The Crushers team
Earn enough OWGR Pts to stay in top 50 to play in majors if needed.
Go to DPWT
Finish in top 10 to earn pathway back to the PGAT if he wishes to.
Earn enough OWGR Pts to stay in top 50 to play in majors if needed.
Play You Tube Golf
Need to win a major every 5 years to stay in majors.
Hard man to predict as he thinks differently but which do you think is most likely ?
He is exempt into all the majors through 2029 (I think), so is long way from needing to think about owgr points.
There would be no waiting to play the PGA Tour; a special rule would instantly be created (as it was for Koepka) to let him back immediately (with token penalties).
He's shown zero interest in joining the DP World Tour, and doesn't need to use this as a route to the PGA Tour (unlike Reed, who didn't have status).
