Just watching "shell world of Golf" on sky and Gary player give a wee demonstration of finesse and feel in the bunker.

Showed how you can use 9i, 7i, 7i and 3i for wee cut shots out of the bunker. He made it look so damn easy it confirmed that these guys are on a different planet to a chopper like me.

he was practically crouching with the 3-iron and aiming about 45 degrees to the left - lifted it out as nice as you like - brilliant.

He clipped the 7-iron out of the sand and called it might go in the hole when it landed on the green. He didn't even watch it as it sailed in off the pin

whenever i think something like ' oh i need a new 60 degree its not good enough' i then think about all these players that can do stuff with what they are given, like seve learning with a 2 iron.

yep - goin to hunt out the video where Luke Donald was playing Beaconsfield with his brother and was challenged to hit the green with all of his irons. He did it with all of them and just run through the back onto the fringe with the 3.

Correction on my part - he missed with the 4 iron

3-9 irons he hit the green with all but the 4

just through with the hybrid -17 and he went through with the 3 wood

His brother looked bored as hell too.

Nice wee series of recorded for mizuno, there is one where the 2 Donald's go head to head and Luke gives him a bit of ribbing and he doesn't like it.
