I live near Sudbury. Played up Newton Green today, carry only and 18 temporaries, which is fair. In my 10 years i've never seen it this wet.

All these new housing estates on farmland don't help with draining.

Ahhh...I play at Brett Vale. We've had a new GKpr these last 2 years and he has a different approach to the old one regarding temporary greens (or at least he did last winter) and whilst previously they would be closed if frosty/frozen the new GK allows play....greens were pretty good through what little summer we had this past year so we will see how they fare this year. We are carry only mind which isn't a problem...in fact...in soft conditions carrying is sometimes better as you can avoid some of the more regularly trodden paths and go places where a trolley wouldn't normally be allowed.

I'm hoping to get out for a game this afternoon....just waiting for the morning rush to finish...if I tee off at around 1pm I should get round OK....it looks a bright clear day which always helps eek out those last few minutes of light!!!
