Just a rant really, am now laid up in bed with a severly sore neck and back. The result of an idiot in a Corsa that supposedely didn't see the queue of traffic he was driving at on a slip road.

He has managed to cave in the back of my car, and the front as he hit me with such force I ended up hitting the car in front. My cars now going to be an insurance write off and its only 6 or so months old, and has left me with no way of physically being able to goto Princes for the Kent meet up and enjoying what would be my first foray into links and forum golf.

What I can't fathom is how someone can't see a queue of traffic, or can but still insists on going so fast there's no way on gods earth they can stop before they hit someone.

Cripes Fader - but sounds like it could've been worse. Ach well - look on bright side - you'll have the 'personal injury' mob banging on your door soon :/

And you are right - some drivers are careless idiots. Your guy/gal should be done by police for careless driving, driving without due care and attention, endangering other road users etc. Will he/she? On mobile?

Chin up bud.

And here's me thinking this was a post about the new Taylormade R1 Driver!!

Sounds like a bad knock but at the end of the day, it could have been much worse. Hope you get yourself and the car sorted soon.

Cars can be replaced...... I'm glad YOU are OK!!

Thing is with kids/younger drivers, they don't see that a car if driven in that manner is a deadly weapon!

Rest up pal and let your insurance and the police deal with the rest

hope you get well soon, a real gutter for you.

the problem is lack of concentration IMO most of the time either distarcted talking playing with some electrical device or general not thinking about what there doing whilst driving. You cant go out in the car without seeing someone do something stupid or reckless!

Glad your OK and I have no doubt that the moron was either on his phone, fiddling with his stereo or in dire need of an optitians appointment.

We have more than our fair share of idiot drivers in Cornwall for 5 months of the year then they all go home and leave us in peace for the winter. For instance the junction opposite the garage where I work has had 8 accidents in the last 12 months ALL involved holiday makers. The worst of which a tourist hospitalised 3 people after turning in the WRONG side of the bollard causing a head on collision that the other driver had no chance of avoiding it. They were only down from Southampton and I'm pretty sure they have bollards with arrows on at junctions up there.

Appreciate the sentiments guys. I've never suffered from a bad back in my life, but today can understand why those that do suffer complain so much.

Letting the Police & insurers get on with it, more annoyed at the fact the car was still in its infancy at a little over 6 months old, and the first brand new car I'd owned. Plus can't play at Princes now. From what I can make it he was on his mobile which for me is the most dangerous thing I see to many people doing daily.

Then he should get the book thrown at him and hopefully a custodial sentence!!!

On a brighter note. With your compensation pay out for your personal injury, I foresee new shineys on the horizon

Possibly a new putter and putting lesson now that there choosing to ban my saviour that is the belly putter

Fader, hope you are OK mate, don't worry about the car that is a replaceable metal box. You should be able to claim for a hire car on his insurance, after all running into the back of you he hasn't got a leg to stand on.

Fitness wise are you Ok to play Princes?

Sadly not, really was looking forwarding to getting down there as i've never played links golf before and the reason for joining forum was to get to some meets. By my neck and upper back are killing me, had them x-rayed last night and found no damage but theres no way I can swing a club right now and thats annoyed me more as it means being stuck in doing nothing.

Hope you recover asap.

My cousin was in the same situation last month. The idiot that ploughed into my cousin forcing him to hit the car in front has now told their insurance company that my cousin was at fault. Even with witness statements, the 'idiot' is still claiming that after my cousin hit the car in front, he put his car into reverse.

Sorry to hear your plight Fader and glad your not too badly injured but beware long term problems.
Any insurance experts on here? Am I right in saying that Fader will claim against the idiot who hit him but the car in front will claim against Fader and so on down the line with the effect of loosing his no claims etc.
Fader, beware of the 'hire car merchants'. Only deal with this directly with your insurance company.
I had an accident a few years ago where a small lorry reversed into me, said at the time he didn't see me but later on claimed to my insurer that I ran into him. No witnesses so had to agree a 50/50 settlement, the scroat.
