Had a 'bonus' WFH day thanks to the trains, so took advantage of the weather again with a 4:15 tee time - played seven holes on the back nine and the wife tagged along for five of them.
Started with three lovely pars, two up and downs and a cracking 3 wood approach onto the green on our S.I.1 12th. Course was dry as a bone, on our downhill 11th I managed a frankly ludicrous 283 yard drive!
First blunder was on the 13th, when I found a bunker with my second and took two to get out, as is usual nowadays - double bogey. Skipped to the 16th and made bogey there, before parring the last two. On the 18th I was just through the back with my second, slightly duffed the hybrid chip on so dropped a second ball for practice - holed it. Typical. At least I still sank the par putt with the main ball.
Five pars from seven holes, very happy with that!
