Have seen 1 dugite in 10 years, been told that they have seen a tiger years ago, course is starting to be surrounded by houses so snakes are a rarity.
Good job. My driving isn't great at the moment so the less amount of time spent in any rough would be ideal - even on the off chance

I played yesterday and the first half dozen holes were like I had never used any club other than a driver in all my life.
So weird, the driver was going really well.
I put it down to the fact that winter rules had ended but the grass was still long enough for the ball to sitting down in it rather than on top of it. Takes a while to adjust to no lift and place and near perfect lies.
Last 10 holes played in 5 over including a triple on one hole due to the state of our dried out, sand less bunkers.

We still have winter rules in place on the fairway only but I played everything including tee shots on the fairway just so I could get use to it not being in place when we played the Saturday roll up.

Somebody won our 9 hole twilight stableford competition last night with 25 points. They get 13 shots off 9 holes.

Yes. Course handicap of 26, so would be off 22. One of my playing partners was not happy playing off scratch, he would have had to score 29 gross to tie.

Midweek Stableford today...hot, dry and the course bone hard...made for some interesting bounces.
Our greens are struggling r8ght now....little growth up until a week ago and now they've exploded.
Sadly, some bits haven't so, as one member said, it's a bit like putting on a washboard....still, same for everyone.
Pretty solid round of 34 points, just a blob on 16 where my tee shot plugged...and I mean PLUGGED...in the face of a greenside bunker
It took all my strength to get it out only to see it bounce, kick and roll off the other side of the green.....didn't get it up and down...
Currently sitting 8th in Div1 with 6 or 7 still to come in
Small cut as well.
