Well, that was an interesting day with 35mph winds at the seaside. As always, wind up blowing strong on all the holes straight in to, nowhere to be seen (or felt) on the holes where it would help.

Still, good laugh with the Chuckle Brothers with them both playing quite well.

The Caley irons continue to perform so well the Pings are relegated to the spares cupboard.

Played today with a couple of mates. Forward tees but full greens. Crazy temperature for the time of year so just a t-shirt and a sleeveless top required. A bit wet underfoot but perfectly playable. Third time round with the “Spurs” ball and another level par round. For three rounds I am now -2 total.

Nice round this morning to walk off yesterday’s festivities. Was aboard the bogey train for most of the front 9, but never really in any trouble. Front 9 was 7 over.

Sorted it out on the back 9 and finished that level for +7 overall.

Ready to go again tomorrow in a grudge match against the BiL.

Played today for the first time in 3 weeks, went out to just dust off some cobwebs and have a laugh. The golf was pretty awful for the first 9, got better on the back apart from one hole so pretty pleased with that, a goal achieved

Out this morning for 12 holes. To borrow a quote, absolute rammell . Hopefully got it out of the way for tomorrow's 18. As stiff as a very stiff thing would be how I'd describe my swing today.

Played 18 this morning. Very misty and cold but otherwise reasonably pleasant. Took a few holes to get going, but once I did loosen up I hit it really nicely. A run of three straight birdies in the middle of the back nine really helped brighten the gloom.

Nice 18 holes this afternoon didn’t tee off until 12:50 and didn’t think I’d get 18 in as course was fully booked from 07:40-12:40.

Really good round, 6 over gross, pleasant weather, hoping the form continues tomorrow in the comp, but if the golfing gods are looking down I’m expecting the wheels to come off quite early

Been working on a small swing change. It's only small but feels strange and starting to see the results. Last 4 rounds have been 73, 71, 70 and 73 today.

No family grudge match today as my FiL had to make a dash to the north as his dad took an ill turn.

So it was me, BiL and BiL’s girlfriends dad as a three ball so we just played a stableford. The golf was not as good as yesterday and the front 9 just drifted away, held on through the back 9 to be +13 gross but that was only enough for 28 points. Importantly though, it was the best score of the 3 so I took the honours.

Course is getting very wet in places and will deteriorate pretty quickly now as we head into Jan/feb.

Archerfield today for the Christmas match against the FiL. Miserly git only giving me 4 shots this year, despite my complaints.

He’s still raging after a 3&2 loss . Hitting the ball really well, putted so-so but my approach play was as good as it’s been. Shot a 76 (4 over) to take his money (well, loser pays the food & drinks tab).

Weather was superb, little to no wind and very mild bordering slightly warm in the sun.

Just getting the HI down would be good. I have been playing well for large periods and then a brain fart moment or two wreck the card and end up coming out around HC so not seeing the gains.

Playing against the FiL (Pro) seems to bring my game out, mainly to spite him… or at least wind him up.

Played today with the guy who is struggling a bit, anyway me and him 21 and 19 hcap played pairs against a 14 and 17hcap. Bottom line it finished all square with us 2 up and 2 to play. Twas an excellent days golf in which partner played very very well.
He was over the moon he had got out.
The mist, fog was a bit of a ball ache at times.

This morning just emphasised what I said above. I was +2 through 10 and then the brain farted as always. Dropped 4 shots 11 to 13 and it knocked me a bit as always.

Finished 75, so 8 over and won’t see any movement yet again.

I really need to sort out that stretch on the back 9, three hardest holes clumped together is killing my cards.

After the shocker yesterday today was a whole different game. It was wonderful, glorious, almost good golf .

Good fun 4 ball, great way to spend a morning.

decent weather this morning , course still a touch soft

Solid 3 under par for 21 points on the front 9 followed by a 1 under back 9 to give me 40 points

On the winter eclectic I’m now 2 birdies away from having the full set

First 18 holes for ages. Nice to get out chipping was dreadful and cost a few shots. No 3 putts, driver pretty solid , irons okay.. little 3/4 stuff in was a bit off, but not a huge issue.
Hopefully I will get out again soon, as next round of hospital stuff is end of 1st week of January.. this will determine the next phase.
