I played on Saturday and last Tuesday

Tuesday best round of the year (already mentioned)
Saturday worst round of the year.

Played again yesterday and have now reached my soft cap.

However I am starting to see enough good shots to think my game will come back again just need to get rid of the double or worse bogeys.

Today I discovered that a ProV1x number 2 with a red line is impossible to lose. Just a heads up for everyone 👍
I had an old Prov1 that I played as a provisional any time needed and tended to finish the round with it. It lasted age's and eventually had to be retired.

Played yesterday off a 4 handicap, today off a 2 handicap, and this weekend I am off a 5 handicap.

My Handicap has not changed......today's course off a 2 handicap is the hardest of the three, go figure.

Played Tuesday, driving was awful. Everything else was really good, 37 points despite having to recover from the trees countless times after bad drives.

Today, driving was absolutely superb. Everything else was poor to awful. 32 points. How can two consecutive rounds be such polar opposites?

Let me try figure, Is it fractionally the hardest or many shots harder, was the pin positions today unreasonably brutal, has the rough not been cut, but was when rated??

Played 12 holes today with CVG....heavy drizzle followed by clear skies followed by heavy drizzle and with plenty of wind mixed in for good measure.
I think the course was borderline Carry only but they let trolleys on.....
Very soft in places - God only knows what courses on the clay are like....
Played OK, nice birdie on the 10th, nice sandy par on the 16th...gave up and went for breakfast....
Good decision as the wind got stronger and the drizzle got heavier.
Thinking about tomorrow...there's a window of decent weather first thing before the fertiliser hits the rotary air moving device later on....
But with the rain howling down I doubt trolleys will be on so it looks like a solo 9 ...struggle to carry more than 9 these days otherwise I'd hook up with some of the others...
And it's gonna be cold....

It is the second course I am a member of, it's over 100 metre's longer than the other where I play off a 4 handicap mostly, fairways are tighter and has always been tougher.

I see the main problem is the rating is done on a US course system which does not do justice to this and many other courses I have played here, since OZ have changed the supposedly WHS why not change the rating system as well for our conditions.

Used it again today, despite another attempt to lose it on the 4th it somehow got found. 4 rounds in, thinking about retiring it as it's getting a bit scuffed up now.
