I hate winter

TBO I quite enjoy it sometimes.

Sure the weather can be a pain and the golf can he hard if the conditions are tough, but we always have a real laugh and it can be a lot of fun.

Take yesterday for instance , 30 mph wind and only 3 of us but the craic was amazing . On one hole it took us about 10 mins to drive off because we were laughing so much.

Forget your scores and have some fun , oh and a nice gentle walk for a couple of hours!

Agreed, I've also yet to find a better hangover cure than 6 holes in a 30mph wind.

Just finished work (working from home today) and looking out of the window at glorious sunshine over the Monifieth golf courses - only problem is wind is gusting to 58mph (met stats) and my swing isn't at the stage where it will stand up to that yet - meant to be down to 20mph or so on Boxing Day so hopefully get out on a near empty course then.

How about 18 holes in 60PMH wind, which is what i played in this morning, great fun and def blew the cobwebs out.
The wind was so strong it kept lifting my Motocaddy with Full tour bag on it up and over. One of the group was carrying and his bag got blown 30 yards down the fairway on more than on occ;)

We set off this morning at 9.30 with sunshine but it was a tad windy. Sun was so bright on the fourth I needed my sunglasses on to see properly. Five minutes later it was nearly pitch black. Then the wind picked up and the downpour started. We decided to call it a day and walked back in through wind, rain, hail and even a few flakes of snow. Full english brekky in the clubhouse seemed like a better idea than golf.

haha, yeah that would do it. Been quite windy up here for a couple of weeks now but I've hurt my back so I haven't made it out to our Sunday Morning Winter League. As you said before it's a really good craic and everyone has story to tell when you get back in.
