Paid for a gapping session later today - only £25 and the real purpose is I need to tweak a couple of iron lofts, which is part of the cost, so all in all, decent value for money.

Shirt pile Spurk... Will see what the fuss is all about... We are lift and place off the fairway from 1st Nov (unless you have a mat) ... No doubt until start of April, so may as well try it out. Mostly looking forward to not chunking pitches to winter greens from muddy lies... I'll just blade them miles instead. ☺️

Our course has said mats are optional. But in competition no mats. However they will rope of areas and make them areas where mats are required.
They have roped off trolley access areas as well.
The course is pretty well drained and to be honest I take the view that if you don’t do the damage during winter you don’t waste time fixing in the growing season.
So yes I would ban trolleys and instigate mats .. and I am sure that view will create uproar but it’s about cost, time and having a longer playing season.

Where’s that at.

Clubhouse Golf.

Bought many a time from them, but never visited and pretty close to home.

Great set up on a business park, with a couple of fitting bays and massive amounts of gear. Process excellent and I had an idea what I thought would happen and it worked out exactly that. Strengthened three irons, 2 x 1 degree and 1 x 2 degree - I know that’s minuscule, but I ended up with 9 irons (inc 3 x wedges) perfectly gapped (for me) at 10 yards. I’d have loved it to be 15, but they’re consistent at 10. Irons are all 4 degrees apart from 6 iron to 60 degree.

One of my gaps was 3 yards between two clubs when I started.

Got fit for my irons there, decent drive for me but i thought the service was good. Will be back to upgrade my driver in the new year.

I'd go again. Really pleasant, no rush, well equipped and the pro listened to what I was after and absolutely nailed it.

I'm not shy in supporting club fitting, but prefer mine outside on grass rather than indoors on a mat, but for what I wanted today, it was spot on and £25 for the hour, (which ran over) with refreshments if you wanted them and all adjustments was great value. Great atmosphere from all the staff too and no pressure to buy a thing.

Called to collect my 5 wood, but there was a mistake and the heads are 'in transit' for custom builds and at least another two weeks away.

Now I've decided on my wedge set up, took the opportunity to have them regripped to match my irons with MCC plus 4's.
