How long does it take for a score to be uploaded to Howdidido?

Also, who is responsible for uploading the score. I handed in my card today to the professional, I'm guessing he puts all the scores onto the system?

Thanks

If it works the same way as handicapmaster (I'm pretty sure that it does) then its likely to be down to the handicap secretary to upload your score. At our place there is a box for scorecards in the club house. Maybe the pro will drop the card into such a box or pass card onto the handicap sec. I process the cards at my place and its done 1-2 times a week.

I assume its a supplemental score card?

Hi, no its was just a normal qualifier.

It does get a little confusing at times.
According to HDID my handicap has come down from last weekends comp', however the comp' results haven't been uploaded onto the system, so we can't see exactly how we did.

Down to your Match & Comps (secretary/committee) to publish (upload) them. Club competitions mainly get done on the day or following morning, supplementary cards may get done as and when match & comps are back in. In the meantime, you are responsible for your handicap if you have shot under and know you will be cut and have to play to your lower handicap immediately.

Be aware that HowDidIDo does not store your actual Handicap details and is not the actual record of your results. It is merely a convenient place for those clubs that use Club2000's system to 'publish' results for general availability.

The actual details of your handicap are those stored on Club2000 and posted on the Club Notice Board.

There are many things that can prevent publication of comps onto HDID, even when they have been published at the Club.

Down to somebody at your club to publish (upload) them.

:) - could be anyone depending on the club's set up.

Without player score entry it will obviously depend on how many people played, what resources are available to enter the score and if there are any anomalies to be resolved!

Our handicap secretary does all the updates via HDID. Comps are usually up the day after and no complaints about the way it is run.

Correction!

Your Handicap Secretary gets the updates done on Club2000 and they are usually published on HDID the day after.......

Although bizarrely, Rnd2 of the club champs, which was on HDID mysteriously dissapeared about half hour after it appeared and hasn't re-appeared since

Really? With handicapmaster the scores are processed and sent to the CDH and published to the Masterscoreboard there and then from the same tool.

Similar process happens with Club2000, but initial entry is Local, then competition is Publiched to HDID.

With HMaster Congu version. everything appears to be done on (Microsift) Servers remotely - with the 'Publishing to MasterScoreboard and CDH being done from Remote Server to those repositories.

Both have advantages and detractions, independent publishing (to HDID) being both an advantage and a detraction for Club2K!
