If your club is looking for new members, as many are these days, what would you say to a prospective member to sell your course and it's benefits to him/her ?

A mature, well drained course with interesting holes and top notch greens.

A variety of competitions with easy walk on access in non competition times.

A well stocked pro shop, good changing facilites and a quality restaurant with bar.

A short course with great views that can provide a challenge for all levels of golfers. Very social and friendly with no need to book a tee time just turn up and play.

I'd say "You could go elsewhere but a) the folk are not as friendly and b) the course might be in better nick, but it'll bore your socks off c) play the hardest finishing holes in the county...."

Ding, ding, "next please"....
