So after a round do you just leave your playing partners and go home. Even staying for a coffee or water is still sociable.

Yes. I socialise with my playing partners by playing golf. I don't have the time nor inclination to carry on beyond the 3-4 hours i'm out on the course.

Does your membership include money onto a bar card ?

No, it does'nt. It's also a community/sports club open to non golfers. I believe my membership entitles me to 12.5% off food and drink. I would'nt join a club that forces you to put money on a bar card anyway.
