How much do you spend in the club bar?

I reckon I spend around £500 a year on food and drinks in the clubhouse here. As I play plenty of other places during the season I would say I spend around £800-£1000 over the year as we always tend to eat in the clubhouse as its convenient.

The £13000 was spent in the bar and entirely on drinks. It's an old fellow who can't play much golf now but is in there every day as he only lives around the corner plus he's also loaded. He's just paid a considerable sum towards having the flat roof on the clubhouse converted to a pitched roof. His favorite tipple is whisky and he seriously gets through them :-)

Just to add I've played at quite a few clubs over the years and there doesn't tend to be many people in the bar after the captains speech but there is a real social atmosphere at our club where people do stay and enjoy a few drinks. According to our new pro its very unusual and not typical but fantastic for the club and members.

Probs around about £50 last year. Mainly due to most of my golf is played by myself and dont have the time to pop in for a drink by myself. And when I do play with other folk I usually go to other clubs.

That is insane. £250 a week that works out at. God knows how many a day he must neck to spend that

Don't have to have an interest in drink to frequent the bar afterwards

I don't drink at the club but go into the bar after every round to have a coffee or a soft drink and a bite to eat and to socialise with my FC and other guys or girls up there

Spent about £800 there last year

Zero. I don't drink, so have no interest frequenting the bar.
So after a round do you just leave your playing partners and go home. Even staying for a coffee or water is still sociable.

It's a round of drinks for three (sometimes 4) more often than not (not everyone wants 3 or 4 drinks after the round so not always possible to get your round in). Plus a fish finger sandwich on Saturdays but not Sunday. Plus a few sunday lunches with HID. About £1k all in?

But round this way, what with the clubcard discount, the golf club is cheaper than most of the pubs, Wetherspoons (spit, spit) excepted.

Around £300 , but would be more but the bar is closed Monday till Friday during the winter. You can buy food,
but nothing from the bar , having a bar and not opening it .

Spend about £800 in the bar. Bit more than some I play with who take an age changing shoes etc so I'm usually at the bar first. Generally have a couple then bugger off. Amazing how often it is the same guys who get the first couple of rounds in before everyone is ready to go home.

Playing with another crowd now as well where the round buying is more spread out !

I spend circa £600/yr.

Our top spender put over £3k over the bar + he needed a new garage door after driving home after one of his sessions. Twice done for D&D, and no doubt he'll get another one soon. For him, a typical tea time is about 4-5 pints then home, followed by back down for an evening session or to his local pub. Needless to say, he's single.
