What is your handicap and how many greens do you expect to be on in standard regulation? (eg: on par 4's in two shots, par 3's in one shot, par5's in three shot)

what would be acceptable?

OFF THE YELLOWS

I'm 22 handicap and I AIM to hit 4 greens in reg per round.

I also am a great beleiver that greens in reg hit works as very close relation to your handicap. I do find that the more greens in reg I hit I play all round better golf.

I would like to hit 6 but never expect to.

What are these yellow tee's you talk about? there only used by our seniors on a Monday. All other comps are played off the whites.

Handicap 6.

Anything 8 or more is a good game for me, but it's also important to remember that there are degrees of misses. I'd expect to have half decent chances of up and downs on maybe all but 1 or 2 of my misses.

Currently playing off 7, only managing 4/5 GIR, poor i know but got a sharp short game, which is just as well. Working on a couple of things swing wise at the moment but overall i'm a poor iron player.

10.5. At Camberley I hit 7 or 8 which is about average. Those I missed were usually in a greenside bunker or within 20 yards. Just shows how poor my short game and putting is.:( I didn't have a mable though !

Always play off the whites at home course.

My handicap is currently bouncing between 5 and 6. I would reasonably expect to hit around 10/11 greens in an average round.

But we never play off yellows, that's only for the wrinklies at my place. We use whites nearly all the time then have blues for the really big comps.

Well as I'll likely be playing off somewhere in the high 20s when I get a handicap I should probably say none. If I hit every green in regulation-plus-one then two putt then there's 18 over par. Throw in a few GIR+2 and 3 putts and you've got your high 20s.

EDIT: Golfshake tells me a 28 handicapper should be hitting about 2 or 3 per round, so I'll go with that.
