How long do you keep your clubs?

I started playing in 1991, and stopped playing around 2000,and only had a couple of changes, then returned to the game in about 2007/8 since then I've had the following clubs:

Drivers:
Nike Ignite
Callaway FT-3
TM 911
TM SLDR - current

Fairway woods:
Titlesist 904 3 wood
TM Rescue
Cleveland 3 wood - current
Titleist 913 5 wood and Hybrid - current

Irons:
Titleist 735cm
Titleist AP2 710 - current

Wedges:
Vokeys - 52,56,60
Ping Gorge 54,58 - current

Putter:
Ping B60
Scotty X5
Ping Scotsdale Answer - current

In other words I don't seem to change as often as many on here.

The AP2's are 710 which I think must mean they are from 2010, so may look in the new year if they are worth changing.

This driver is the first one I've ever had which within 1 year I'm thinking of changing. It's brilliant when hit well but I've struggled off the tee this year and am partly blaming the club.

I've had my AP2s for 3 years now. I'd swap them but I have better things to spend money on. Plus, there's nothing wrong with them, I just fancy some shiny new blades. The game's not hard enough... ;)

I've had 4 putters in the last 3 years though.

wedges are 2 years old, hybrids 2 years old - the rest over 5 years. Keep being told that the driver and irons are due for an upgrade - but they still look pretty good. I know that the technology has changed a lot - but still.................

Probably until they fall to bits or I get a fitting for a new set as a present.

All my clubs have been replaced just once (3rd driver though), when I moved from a beginner (very cheap I got at 14 for summer use) set to a proper set I bought when taking up the game properly.

The only clubs I will change now are wedges, mostly due to the amount of practice time they see and general use. Probably will need to drop the sets PW for a new wedge eventually.

So everything from 9 iron to Driver is safe unless I get a fitting as a gift and the putter is permanent.

There is very little technology can do for my game (its so bad) so why bother. Better to sink it into lessons first!
