I had a good day today. Quite pleased with my putting, remarkably I didnt 3 putt all day. I had a couple of blobs (one of which I never bothered putting). I kept score of the putts and distances and wanted to give this putting quotient measurement thing a go.

I converted paces to feet when I got home so not the most reliable measurements below, more a rough indication tbh. Those 1ft putts certainly didnt feel like 1ft on the course, probably a bit longer at times.

365ft 31ft

Total distance of all putts 396ft

Divide this by 31ft

= 12.77

I've no idea what this figure means probably not a great deal, but according to this metric I was a good putter for a day at least. I've no doubt that the increased focus on putting today (because I was scoring it) explains the big improvement. So a worthwhile exercise in that sense and probably worth repeating.
