Think mine is a 10 on our 18th in the 1st round of the club championship. Had been trying so hard to hang on to a score a couple over my handicap to give myself a chance for the nett prize in the second round.

I topped the tee shot into the environmental area straight in front of the tee (automatic reload - no drop zone and can't go in to get the ball anyway). Hit the next OB right. 5th of the tee went right but in bounds. Hacked 6 over a ditch onto the fairway. 7th went well left (avoiding the big pond right of the green). Chipped on and 2 putted.

Suffice to say the chances of competing for the nett prize had gone west for another season

My other half shot 16 last weekend, being honest it was really so funny, if it was there she hit it, including one post, one small tree, one stream, one pond and 2 bunkers!!! Ha Ha!! I couldnt help myself I was on the floor, bless her though she kept going and never lost her rag, and was even laughing about it afterwards, How about that for a great attitude???

10 on a par 3 for me. More than 1 in the water including one putt from the back of the green past the hole and down the bank into the lake.

Needed no more than 7 on the par 4 last at Rickmansworth to break 90 for the first time ever. Second shot into a greenside bunker. Next into bunker on other side. And back. And again. Etc. Ended with a 14, a bruised ego and a card in tatters.

Made it to the 15th hole (par 5)with the comp. won.

Driver O.B.Left
3 off the tee - 3 wood O.B.Left
5 off the tee - 4 iron O.B.Left
7 off the tee - 6 iron O.B.Left
Have you spotted the theme yet.
9 off the tee - was thinking of a putter but stuck this a 6 iron - in play.
10th shot - O.B. Left
12th shot - Short of the green.
13, 14 & 15 - pitch & 2 putts
Finished Third.

I think there is a lesson to be learned, but i just don't know what it is?

How does 12 on a short par 3 sound?

1 - underhit in the pond
3 - more oomph, hook in the lake
5 - top, in the ditch in front of the pond
7 - overhit, in the river
9 - dry, but teetering on the right hand ditch
10 - on the green at last
11, 12 - finally

'bettered' this elsewhere though
