I am setting up a net score tournament where every player has a bonafide GHIN handicap index. We will be playing (4) different courses and at each course we will be using each player's course adjusted handicap (CAH) as calculated per the approved formula outlined in the World Handicap System.
My questions is:
Should we limit the maximum score a player may take on a given hole to Par+2+# of strokes received based on their CAH, or should there not be a limit since this is a {score-minus CAH=net) ? EXAMPLE: a player takes 8 shots to complete a Par 3 hole. Despite potentially encouraging slow play, since this is a net score event using CAH, should players keep playing until holed out even if it results in an 8 on a Par 3 hole or say a 10 on a Par 5 hole?
