Have you or are you buying yourself a golf gift for Christmas?

I made a resolution in another thread that i start and end 2016 with the same kit so only have a fortnight to get a new driver !!!!!! Any recommendation for something that gives pure distance and is forgiving from past or current ranges ???? I'm only a "nudger" and could do with a few extra yards. (please don't spoil my enthusiasm by suggesting lessons with local pro !!!)

And your still under the thumb needing permission lol

Get that sorted!

Oh I am playing a roll for a gag really. My wife does a couple of hours work a couple of times a week. She would not deny me anything as I am generally not a spender. Its much more like having a chat with a mate about enjoying a spend, making sure I have put enough away for the family holiday and the like. Her and I have been on several shopping trips where we go out to have a blast and end up only having bought a parking ticket when we leave.

I am thinking I should sell some of the clubs that are sat behind my golf bag though... While I am not a spender I do tend to have expensive taste when I do spend.

They've never had a fitting centre here, just the factory that makes the clubs themselves and you've never been able to go there for a fitting to my knowledge.

I thought they had the fitting centre there a few years ago, I'm sure they even had a review in one of the other mags about, though it was some time ago.

I only got back into golf in 2011 but the nearest fitting centre was Clydebank then as my first new set of irons were Mizuno.

But looking forward to Gleneagles as it's a lovely place and can treat the other half to lunch seen as the new irons ars her Xmas present to me this year.

I have got a Golf related pressie - a brand new GTI arriving! It is very nice.

I am thinking about getting myself a new driver, but I honestly have no idea what would suit my game. I am currently using one that I got off ebay for 5 €, some Chinese no-name thing, 12 ° loft, lady's shaft, does what it's supposed to do. So it's not that I need a different one. I am not even sure that my game would profit from a better driver. I just feel that I deserve one :)

Go for it, you might be surprised at what a better quality driver could do for your game. The rate at which new models are issued means there's always a lots of deals on last year's models.
