I nearly got hit in similar circumstances at Camberly Heath, 17th green from memory. We were looking for my elderly PP's ball right of the green, found it, only for some fella in the group behind to fire one in:o

The ball missed the Oap by inches...could have killed him :(

That'll be the "looking for the ball" with no bags or any visible sign that the group hadn't finished the hole and moved on, and after the golfer hitting an exquisite approach had consulted with his own PP's if they thought it was ok to play. Wanton vandalism to said ball too.

The strike looked a bit skinny to me ;)

Was that the famous "green Pen" incident :)

Never hit anyone, but a couple of years ago playing with GB72 at Belton Park, thinned a Hybrid tee shot which hit a deer square on the rump , which started a stampede of Wild West proportions.

Tell me more!

No, don't start green pen-gate!!

Hit two people, one on the shin on an adjacent fairway and one on the ankle in the group in front. It was a par 4 and they were on the green and I was teeing off. Still gobsmacked to this day to hit that green off the tee. 346yds in a cross wind. I still think it must have hit a sprinkler head. The guys in front were part of our regular swindle - I was horrified, whilst they were ecstatic at how good the tee shot was.

As for being hit; 4 times. Head, balls(that smarted a tadge), back, head in that order. Hospitalised twice.

Nearest I've come to hitting anyone was just a few weeks ago was standing on the 6th driver in hand and my pp's were to the right of me but a bit forward I hit my ball off the toe of my driver sending the ball at almost a right angle, one of my playing partners who had already tee'd off had his hands on his trolley waiting to walk down the fairway and the ball went between his arms and the trolley handle, to say he almost 5hit himself is an understatement. needless to say they stayed well behind me on the remaining holes. It did spoil my round as I was thinking what may have been.

I've been hit square in the chest before, hurt like mad!

I pushed a low tee shot that was whizzing along the trees down the side the fairway when a man pops his head out and it whizzed past his head by about a foot. He went mad as I didn't give a fore shout, but the ball was no where near leaving my hole and he just walked straight out from behind the trees and onto my hole.

Disclaimer: if I believe the ball is going onto the next hole or somewhere I can't see it land, I always give a big fore shout, as do my playing partners.

Never, but was playing with a friend of mine at the municipal in Southport and one hole you walk through trees and the tee block is about 40 yards to your right. As we emerged from the trees the group in front just teed off and one hit a low, bullet driver that went straight into pp calf, Ouch! I could not think of a worse person to hit as he is a rather nasty looking 6ft 3 bouncer with a very short fuse and I feared the worst. The lad came to apologise and he just gave a stare and told him to foxtrot oscar through gritted teeth to which he happily obliged:)

I was hit in the chest by my playing partner with a hybrid at full velocity, he asked why I didn't chest it back on the fairway??bruise the size of a dinner plate!

I went to play in Barcelona at Easter and on one of my playing partners first drive on the 1st tee it came off the hosel and got me square on the ankle - that hurt for a few weeks!

MashleyR7 smashed my GoKart wheel, missing me by inches, a little while back!

Anyone for target practice?

Do you think it's just you? Have you got a happy knack of getting in the way?
