Have GI irons changed much over the last 3-5+ years? If so which models to look out for?

I watched a few reviews of recent models and wow!!!! they have cranked lofts up even more than when I got the rocketbladez I think. A 5 iron is a 4iron albeit with some fancy tech maintaining launch.

Its definitely a minefield!

I find it hard to equate such matters with the dangers associated with minefields....

To return somewhat to the original question, the link below is for a golf bidder video comparing about 5 different ping g series irons. Draw your own conclusions, but unless the 70's wallpaper colour scheme on the g10s particularly offends, I think you'd be good to go.

I have a set of G5 irons which I still use every now and then. They're just fine.
